Scooby-Doo! Mystery Mayhem
An inventive side scroller with a developed story line. You can play as Scooby or Shaggy with the rest of the crew giving clues. Shaggy's defense against supernatural ghoulies is the "Tome" (like book) of Doom that sucks the vital force from the ghosts. Scooby, meanwhile handles the hardware - lamp,jackhammer, sonic megaphone. The action starts in the Hambridge library where clues lead to a movie set, then onto an amusement park, the bayou and finally end at a high-tech company wherein lies the master villain. The scenes are colorful and there are automatic saves at checkpoints so you don't have to go all the way back when you run out of tries. My one complaint - there's too much dialogue and they are using up my battery with a laugh track - yes laugh track.
