Ty 2 the Tasmanian Tiger -- Bush Rescue
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger in this action filled platformer is looking for his
relatives kidnapped by Boss Cass and to free them he has to collect five magic
talismans. Luck for you, it's not as easy as it sounds. Boss Cass and his mega
monsters will try and stop you every inch of the way.
Your arsenal for combat includes 21 different kinds of boomerangs which you can
purchase with enough opals. You don't have to walk all the time, Ty can race turbo
charged carts and has a four-wheelie and a helicopter at his disposal.
A clever addition to this game is the Bunyips -- mecha-droids who are on your side and at
your service -- once you purchase the Sub Bunyip key. You start out with a free Battle
Bunyip with mechanical fists of fury. There are others; Sub Bunyip, Thermo Extreme
(lava) Bunyip and Lifter Bunyip which are an indication of the formidable battles ahead
of you.
The Mini-Map will help you find missions shops and race carts. But the DRC Digital
Rescue Assistant is your "best friend" which, besides providing info, is where you
connect to Brother Sly and Shazza -- never turn down an offer of help
There are side events to distract you from your main mission -- which involves saving
kids and creatures and racing on tracks in the Outback that looks like very real Australia.
As you will find out -- Bush Rescue isn't about saving the President -- it's the
location -- Australia. Now, when I was in school, I had to sing a song about a billabong.
That and "shrimp on the Barbie" is the limit of my knowledge about Australia. Lots of
time people in the game talk funny -- but you'll get used to it.
