The Biggest Loser
Ages: Everyone
This version contains most of the stuff from the Wii version in a handy pocket-sized pal.
- Calendar: Is the hub.
- Calorie Counter: Keeps a continuous count of your caloric intake.
- Calculator: Contains your body mass BMI basal metabolic rate BMR and weight - suggested caloric intake.
- Exercise: Warm -up, Upper body, Lower Body, Core, Cardio Cool-down.
A complete body circuit can take between 15 - 20 minutes, with ten routines of about a minute spent on cardio-type
exercises and half a minute on stretching or strength.
- Choices: Pretty useless questions - A choice between a piece of toast or muffin. You already are way ahead of knowing about these choices.
- Quick Tips - Some better than others. Using herbs, keeping good snacks nearby; when you start a
diet - empty out your refrigerator and restock it with healthy food; and make sure you sweat.
- Cookbook - Surprisingly good recipes for: breakfast, snacks sandwiches and soups, main courses, sides and salads, and sweet snacks.
- Quiz - Some interesting True/False questions.
The exercises are shots of the steps - not unlike what you would see in a magazine.
If you want a buddy to exercise with - pick the Wii version.
The only thing that I found annoying was that text repeats itself except for the last two to four lines.
You eventually get used to it and it's nice to have a calorie counter, and an exercise reminder at the ready.
Fun Factor: Works - you expect fun too?
Female Factor: Has choice of male or female trainers - exercises include both sexes.
Player Friendly: A real friend in need.
