Lilo & Stitch 2 -- Hamsterviel Havoc
Once again we have Lilo, the lovely orphan, with Stitch, her belligerent alien dog working
together to undo the havoc taking over Hawaii. So it seems just natural that Lilo does the
thinking puzzles and Stitch the jumping, sneaking and shooting action. Both characters
are involved with tracking down the bad Experiments and turning them in to good helpful
Experiments. Each character has his/her own special Experiments to work with. Lilo's are
like Richter, who causes mini-earthquakes helping Lilo to move rock. Stitch's are more
like Yaarp, whose sonic blast will help blow enemies away. There is enough shooting in this
game that it pays to learn to use all the tricks you can. It took me an embarrassingly long time to find
out that to shoot upwards you press up on the D-pad as you fire and you can shoot while falling
down -- so all is not wasted. The change over in styles between the Lilo and the Stitch gaming
work well in keeping the game varied and interesting.
Oh, and Hamsterviel alludes to Dr. Jacque Von Hamsterviel, the mad scientist responsible for the
experiments.
