Tortuga: Two Treasures - Review

Tortuga: Two Treasures
Ages: Teen

Tortuga – Two Treasures gives you two choices of combat action – on sea or on land, both focused on finding the treasure of Henry Morgan. Mr. Morgan could double his treasure if he got royalties on all the books, games and movies that have used his treasure as the center point of the story. Thomas "Hawk" Blythe, looking much like our favorite Caribbean pirate, has to endure capture, betrayal, and must battle for power, romance treasure and truth. Once again, as in the other recent pirate game, you must handle your ship skillfully, have knowledge of cannons, handling sails, and how to make best attack.

This game requires a pretty hot machine and powerful graphic cards. In fact you are given a long list of video cards that will expressly NOT run this game – nVidia GeForce4MX video card plus integrated/onboard graphic cards such as Intel 845G/852/855/865G, VIA/S3G Unichrome IGP (and other models), and the SIS (all scale). And a short list of those that will: 64MB with pixel shader 1.1 support (GeForce4 TI & ATI Radeon 8500 or higher or recommended 256 MB with pixel shader 3.0 support (GeForce FX6600 &Radeon X800. I'll be back – I have to go shopping.
